We have the wonderful opportunity to host our EMT school at Medtrans Ambulance, located at 345 S Woods Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90022 to provide you with the unique opportunity of training to become an EMT at an ambulance company, providing you with all the real life skills necessary to succeed in this rewarding career path. Book not included but can be purchased for $150 This EMT class meets Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 9am to 5pm each day for 6 weeks. At the end of the EMT class you will take (2) 12 hour ambulance ride alongs. Once you complete the EMT program you will be allowed to take the National Registry exam and apply for your EMT license. The Emergency Medical Technician Basic course is designed to prepare you for working as an EMT on an ambulance or in a hospital. This course is 6 weeks long and will prepare you for taking the National Registry test. The skills you will learn include CPR, Patient Assessment, Splinting, bandaging and much more. Our EMT course is unique in that we are approved through the county of San Bernardino (ICEMA) and Riverside County (REMS) and we will cover all the topics you need for Los Angeles County and all other counties in California. American EMT Academy was a blessing they offered everything I needed. An Accelerated course and probably the most affordable in the market. The friendly staff and expertise that came with their instructors was just a plus. I have no affiliation to American EMT Academy other than former student. I would would recommend this program to anyone seeking a career in EMS. Even their AHA CPR/AED Basic Life Support class was a great experience.
