1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the American EMT Academy website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and students who access or use our services.

2. Educational Services

American EMT Academy provides Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification training courses. Our courses are designed to prepare students for state and national EMT certification examinations. However, we do not guarantee:

• Passage of any certification examination
• Employment after completion of training
• State licensure or certification approval
• Specific learning outcomes beyond the curriculum provided

3. Enrollment and Payment

By enrolling in a course, you agree to the following:

• All course fees are due according to the selected payment plan
• Deposits are non-refundable unless the course is cancelled by American EMT Academy
• Failure to complete payment may result in removal from the course
• Course materials remain the property of American EMT Academy

4. Refund Policy

Our refund policy is as follows:

• More than 14 days before course start: Full refund minus deposit
• 7-14 days before course start: 50% refund minus deposit
• Less than 7 days before course start: No refund
• After course begins: No refund

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to our administrative office. Refunds will be processed within 10-15 business days.

5. Student Conduct

Students are expected to:

• Attend all scheduled classes and clinical sessions
• Maintain professional conduct at all times
• Complete all assignments and examinations honestly
• Treat instructors, staff, and fellow students with respect
• Comply with all safety protocols and procedures
• Not engage in academic dishonesty or cheating

Violation of these conduct standards may result in dismissal from the program without refund.

6. Attendance Requirements

Students must maintain a minimum attendance of 90% to successfully complete the program. Excessive absences may result in dismissal or the requirement to repeat the course at additional cost. Make-up sessions, when available, may incur additional fees.

7. Health and Safety Requirements

Students may be required to:

• Provide proof of required vaccinations
• Pass background checks for clinical placements
• Maintain current CPR certification
• Meet physical requirements necessary for EMT duties
• Comply with health and safety protocols at training facilities

8. Intellectual Property

All course materials, including but not limited to textbooks, handouts, presentations, videos, and online content, are the intellectual property of American EMT Academy or our licensors. Students may not reproduce, distribute, or share these materials without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

American EMT Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific course in question. We are not responsible for any injuries that may occur during training activities when proper safety protocols are followed.

10. Course Modifications

American EMT Academy reserves the right to modify course schedules, locations, instructors, and curriculum as necessary. We will make reasonable efforts to notify students of significant changes in advance. Course cancellations by the Academy will result in a full refund or the option to transfer to another available course.

11. Governing Law

Any claim relating to American EMT Academy's web site shall be governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
